Going to see Mount Saint Helen was a neat experience. You can still see the devastation from 1980 along the face of the mountain and down a little valley. That is about the only area that has not regrown yet. there are some wild flowers around the area. When I was there, the volcano was smoking, but unfortunately, I forgot my telephoto lens at the hotel. My son thought it was really cool that it was smoking and wanted to stay until the volcano erupted. I love volcanoes and find them very fascinating, and I'm hoping to be able to go back to see it again.
