McKenzie Pass-Santiam Pass Scenic Byway, is a really scenic drive. There are a lot of lava flows on the drive, plus there are some great views of the Cascades. Dee Wright Observatory, is a lava rock structure that you can go into or climb to the top. There is a also a walking loop that takes you around some lava flows. There are also some places on this loop where the lava rock has been made smooth, which is the old wagon trail. At the end of the trail is a covered bridge. I had never seen one before, so it was interesting to see.
