I am so excited to announce that I have redesigned my website.  I have been working extremely hard in order to get the site where I wanted it and how I wanted it.  My husband was a great help with his programming skills and I totally love how it looks.  I have been working for over a week to get the gallery up and running.  I'm proud to say that the gallery is now complete on my site.  I still have to work on the store and the about me.

I know that it has been a while since I have posted.  I have been busy trying to figure out what kind of photography I would like to specialize in.  I wanted something that I would have easy access to and where I could go almost daily to take the pictures.  I have decided to focus my time on doing mountain photography.  I live in an area that is surrounded by mountains, which means I have ample opportunities to go take pictures.  I literally live two minutes away from being on the mountain.  I love being outdoors in nature, it is a really relaxing experience for me and it gives me a great excuse to take out the camera.  I am also going to specialize in macro photography.  I love how much detail you can get when you are closeup to an object.  I have been able to capture so many things and have seen so much detail, that I might not have otherwise saw with the naked eye.  Photography is a big part of who I am and it brings me great joy.  I can't wait to get out and take more pictures.

Multnomah Falls

Saturday, August 17, 2013

Multnomah Falls is really pretty to go visit.  It is also really green there.  The falls are actually two different ones, a lower and a higher one.  There is a bridge that goes over the lower falls, where it gives you a better view of the upper falls.  It is a great place to go see and I highly recommend it.

Horsetail Falls

Horsetail Falls is a great place to visit.  The falls are just to the side of the road and the kids can play in the bottom of the shallow water. I know that my son had a great time playing in them.  The water was a little cold, but felt refreshing on a warm summer day.

Bridal Veil Falls

Bridal Veil Falls in Oregon is really pretty.    It was a really beautiful hike to get to the falls, and everything was so green.  I still can't get over how green Oregon has been.  You do have to be careful on the hike, as there was poison oak everywhere.  You can hear the falls before you get to them, thundering down the mountain.  There is a little platform that you can stand on in order to get a better view of the falls.

Rockaway Beach

Wednesday, August 14, 2013

Rockaway Beach is a great beach to visit, plus it was the first beach that we stopped at on our Oregon Trip. It was also the first beach my son had ever been on.  There were tons of sea shell fragments all over the beach.  The water was cold, but the weather was really nice.  There were some cool rock formations and the town was cool to visit.  There is a cool store there called Flamingo Jim's, that is where we stopped to get some light weight hoodies, as the fog was making it cool.  We also road the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad, which is a cool train ride through the Tillamook bay area.

Cannon Beach

Cannon Beach was really pretty to go visit.  The huge pillars sticking out of the ocean were really awesome to see. If you looked closely you could see a light house on one of the pillars.  It was the Tillamook Rock Light House.  We didn't get at chance to go out there, as it would have been to hard to swim and we didn't have a boat.  There were even some dead jelly fish that washed up on the shore.  There wasn't a lot of sea weed washing up nor were there a lot on the beach.  The only thing that was a problem was around evening the sea gulls were everywhere.  A couple of seagulls even got into our bags of chips and ate them all.
